Author Announces the Next Big Thing in Young Adult Novels, “Moonflower”
Author E.D.C. Johnson Releases Her Premier Novel to Positive Reviews

Palm Harbor, Fl. July 16, 2012 — Palm Harbor author and resident, E.D.C. Johnson, has published “Moonflower,” an approximately 75,000 word book that joins elements of “Pride and Prejudice” with the “Twilight” saga.
For a limited time (through Sunday, September 22) an electronic book version of “Moonflower,” normally priced at $5.99, will be available to the public at a special 50% off download price at Smashwords at Use this special coupon code when purchasing the novel (XB94G).

“Moonflower has something for everyone,” said Johnson.  “Though I wrote the novel for young adult readers I think it will appeal to women of all ages.  There are elements of fantasy, action and a love triangle.  What’s not to love?”  E.D.C. Johnson has spent the last decade as a public school art teacher and was inspired to make a novel that would entice young readers to open a novel.  She used themes that are hot in current young adult  fiction such as shapeshifters and romance, combined with original illustrations.

About Moonflower
After Josephine Woods’ father dies of cancer, her mother up-roots the two of them and moves to the city. Josie hates her city life, but her teenage issues are of little consequence when they have a car accident and she wakes up in a strange land (reminiscent of Victorian Europe) alone. Lost, with her school backpack as the only connection to her world, Josie struggles to find her way home. She is found by Lucius Conrí, the son of a Marquess, who possesses royal blood and the gift to shift into a wolf’s form at will. Can the kind-hearted Lucius help her find her way while winning her love, or will she fall for Donovan Conrí his older, more serious brother and heir to the Conrí wealth?

Couch Day

I wasn’t feeling top notch today and spent a lot of time laying on the couch.  My husband had a new cable provider installed the other day and I must say I hadn’t realized how much I missed the SYFY channel.  During the school year I don’t watch very much TV, except for my DVRed shows, so summertime is kind of fun to catch up on what I’ve been missing.  A lot of movies today but I can’t wait to watch the Haunted Collector and some other newer shows I haven’t seen.  I can’t believe I totally missed the second season of FACE OFF.  As an artist, with a minor in theatre, I have to express my absolute love for that show.  It is simply amazing.  I could see a second career in that :).  Well, I, and my husband, have been trying to resolve some issues with the print version of my novel.  It should be back in the publisher’s hot little hands by tomorrow…Tuesday at the latest.

Artfully Yours,

E.D.C. Johnson
